Will my number get banned?+
CodWatchdog runs on the WhatsApp Business Platform (Cloud API) using your own WhatsApp Business Account, connected through Meta Embedded Signup. There is no unofficial tool and no linked personal number. And a customer who replies STOP is not messaged again while you use CodWatchdog; uninstalling deletes those opt-outs with the rest of your store's data.
Who pays for the WhatsApp messages?+
You pay Meta directly, on your own account, at the rate Meta publishes for each message, which depends on the country of your customer's number. We add no markup and we never sell credits, so there is no wallet to top up and nothing to expire.
Do I need a developer to set it up?+
No. Install from the Shopify App Store and connect your WhatsApp Business Account through Meta's own sign-up. CodWatchdog creates the confirmation message for you. Meta then reviews it, which Meta says can take up to 24 hours.
What happens if the customer does not reply?+
CodWatchdog reminds them a day or two later, as many times as your plan allows. If there is still no reply, the order is tagged and shown as unconfirmed so you can decide whether to ship, call, or cancel before dispatch. Reminders count toward your monthly messages. If a reminder cannot go, because the customer replied STOP, you are 20% past your plan's limit, your send budget is reached, or WhatsApp is disconnected, the order is tagged and shown as unconfirmed without it, a day after its last message.
Will CodWatchdog email me?+
Rarely. Problems show in the app. We email you when orders arrive while WhatsApp is not connected, when Meta stops your confirmation message, when orders do not reach CodWatchdog, when your confirmations cannot go out, and three days before a paid plan's trial ends. Each problem is emailed when it starts, and again only if it stops and later comes back. Never more than one problem email a day.
Can I send messages in my own language?+
Today the confirmation message is in English. It greets the customer as "Hi there" and gives the order number and the amount.
Does it work with my courier and fulfilment apps?+
CodWatchdog tags orders in Shopify as codwatchdog-confirmed, codwatchdog-cancelled, codwatchdog-held or codwatchdog-unreached. Any app or workflow that filters on Shopify tags will pick these up, so you can hold fulfilment until an order is confirmed.
What if I already use another COD confirmation app?+
Install CodWatchdog, connect WhatsApp, then switch the other app's messages off, so each customer gets one confirmation, not two.
How do I cancel?+
From your Shopify admin, like any Shopify app. There is no contract and no cancellation fee.
