Will my number get banned?+
CodWatchdog runs on the WhatsApp Business Platform (Cloud API) using your own WhatsApp Business Account, connected through Meta Embedded Signup. There is no unofficial tool and no linked personal number, which is what puts numbers at risk. We also only message customers who agreed to receive messages.
Who pays for the WhatsApp messages?+
You pay Meta directly at their rate, on your own account, usually between $0.005 and $0.03 per confirmation depending on your country. We add no markup and we never sell credits, so there is no wallet to top up and nothing to expire. You also set a monthly spend cap in the app.
Do I need a developer to set it up?+
No. Install from the Shopify App Store, click to connect your WhatsApp Business Account, pick a message template and turn it on. It takes about ten minutes.
What happens if the customer does not reply?+
CodWatchdog sends reminders on the schedule you choose. If there is still no reply, the order shows in your attention list as unconfirmed so you can decide whether to ship, call, or cancel before dispatch.
Can I send messages in my own language?+
Yes. Templates can be written in your language and include your store name, the customer's name, the order number and the amount.
Does it work with my courier and fulfilment apps?+
CodWatchdog tags orders in Shopify as cod-confirmed, cod-cancelled or cod-pending. Any app or workflow that filters on Shopify tags will pick these up, so you can hold fulfilment until an order is confirmed.
What if I already use another COD confirmation app?+
